What Otterly does well

First, because an alternatives page that cannot say what the incumbent is good at is not worth reading.

Three engines are add-ons on every plan

Lite, Standard and Premium each include four engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are 'extra add-ons' on all three, priced per engine. The pricing page does not print the add-on price in the plan cards. A small team that wants the full picture is paying for three add-ons on top of whatever plan it chose.

Copilot is one of the four

Copilot's answers are largely Bing's, which you may or may not care about. Either way, it occupies one of the four included slots while Gemini, which answers a much larger share of consumer questions, is the add-on.

The jump from Lite to Standard

Lite is 15 prompts at $29. The next plan is 100 prompts at $189, six and a half times the price. There is nothing in between, so a team that outgrows 15 prompts is choosing between a big step up and the $99-per-100-prompts add-on, which is only available on Standard and above.

Three recommendations a week on Lite

The optimisation side of the product, which is a large part of the pitch, is capped at three recommendations a week on the entry plan. Standard lifts it to unlimited. On Lite you are mostly buying the tracking.

Who should stay with Otterly

Stated plainly, because it is what makes the rest of this page worth trusting.

If ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews are the engines you care about, you want it running in ten minutes, and you need countries other than the US, Otterly is a good buy at $29 and we would not talk you out of it. Its multi-country coverage is something we do not offer. The reason to leave is wanting Claude, Gemini or AI Mode without paying per engine, or wanting more than 15 prompts without a $189 step.

How to choose a Otterly alternative

Three questions, written for the reason you are leaving.

Do the add-on arithmetic before you compare prices

Otterly's $29 is the price of four engines. If you want Claude, Gemini and AI Mode, add three add-ons and then compare. A tool that costs more than $29 but includes everything may be cheaper for the set you actually want, and one that costs less may be making the same trade in a different order.

Decide whether you need countries other than the US

This is the point where Otterly is genuinely ahead of some alternatives, including us. If you sell in Germany or Australia and need answers collected there, it belongs at the top of your list and the rest of this page should be read with that in mind.

Look at the step after the entry plan

You outgrew 15 prompts, or you will. The question is what the next plan costs, not what the first one does. On Otterly it is $189. Elsewhere on this page it is $19, $20, $99 or €205. That gap is where the real price difference lives.

Otterly is cheaper to start ($29 versus €85) and simpler. Peec has the better dashboard and more models on the menu but caps you at three per project. Both sell engines beyond the base as extras, so neither removes the add-on problem; if that is your reason for looking, check the tools above that include everything.
